Workplace Pride is excited to invite you to attend the LGBT Workplace Symposium, which will be held in Chennai (India) on the 19th of May 2017. Returning for a second time to Asia, the theme of the symposium is “Expanding the Dialogue in India”.
The symposium aims to bring together organizations representing employers, employees and civil society to address the specific challenges of being LGBT in the Indian workplace and to share their experiences. In order to ensure a local perspective, co-organizer of the event is the Solidarity Foundation, a local NGO that has been working on the frontline of social change in South India for several years. In addition, Workplace Pride has partnered with Community Business India, a recognized thought leader in corporate responsibility (CSR) and diversity and inclusion (D&I).
The goal of the symposium, which is hosted by Workplace Pride Foundation Member RELX Group, is to provide participants with a new toast of ideas and concepts as well as concrete steps to continue the practical task of LGBT workplace emancipation in India.
