Workplace Pride and UWV at WPATH Conference
June 23, 2016
Last weekend, the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) held its 24th biennial global symposium in Amsterdam. This four-day symposium was opened on Saturday by Her Majesty Queen Maxima of The Netherlands.
Workplace Pride and foundation member UWV were invited to contribute to the pre-conference on Friday, June 17th, which attracted around 300 stakeholders from all over the world. Foundation Board Member, Jen Mohamed, and Ben Ehlting, chair of UWV’s LGBT network ‘Roze Werkt’, were met with great enthusiasm. Participants took a special interest in Ben’s manual ‘Transgender at work’. In addition, participants were keen to get information on how Workplace Pride could assist organizations in dealing with transgender issues in countries with less tolerant countries.
