Summer is here and LGBT people around the world celebrate who we are: Workplace Pride joins in the activities through our Amsterdam Pride Onshore & Offshore events, our annual international conference and lots of additional activities, but also through bringing attention to those LGBT people who CANNOT be themselves at work.
This is season that many LGBT people around the world celebrate who we are. But we also are reminded that many of us, in all walks of life and all regions in the world still are not free to be ourselves. With work being such an important part of our lives, it is important to celebrate that many of us work for organizations that accept and include LGBT people, but also remember that many still do not. Through the various upcoming events of Workplace Pride, we will continue to work towards more inclusive workplaces for LGBT people. We will highlight both the successes and work with all parties to make progress with the challenges towards greater LGBT workplace inclusion; wherever they are!
Upcoming Workplace Pride Events for the LGBT Season include:
- Monthly drinks in Amsterdam, The Hague and Groningen: See upcoming events
- Rijksmuseum Tour
- Workplace Pride’s 8th annual International Conference, opening reception and Leadership Award Dinner
- Launching of the Workplace Pride Global Benchmark
- Amsterdam Pride and Onshore event: Contact Christine Holtkamp for information and registration: Christineholtkamp@upcmail.nl
More events will be announced as the summer progress so stay tuned to this website.

Workplace Pride is pleased to announce that Clifford Chance, one of the leading law firms in the world, has joined the Foundation. This is a significant event for the Workplace Pride, not only as it will be our first member from the legal sector, but also as it brings new expertise to the table for LGBT workplace inclusion.
Clifford Chance is a front-runner in corporate social responsibility and has an established global LGBT network named ‘Arcus’, meaning ‘rainbow’ in Latin. Arcus works with various organizations on LGBT legal issues around the world.
“We feel that by becoming a member of Workplace Pride, we are sending a strong statement of solidarity to the LGBT community in the many countries where it’s members are present, not to mention to the community and our own employees here in the Netherlands” said leading partner Alvin Khodabaks.
Clifford Chance will formally join the Foundation at Workplace Pride’s 2014 Annual International Conference to be held on June 20th at Shell’s Head Office in The Hague.
