The Company Pride Platform is proud to announce it’s newest Member, the City of the Hague ( Gemeente Den Haag). The Hague was the first City Government to become a Member of the CPP and has therefore set a precedent that is anticipated to expand. Along with a number of private sector companies, the public sector is now being better and better represented in the CPP at both the national and municipal levels of government.
Yesterday’s signing ceremony for the new Membership was held in the City Hall of the Hague and was officiated by City Alderman (Wethouder) Rabin Baldewsingh (center in the photo below) and Trudy Loeffen, Director Executive Services for Personnel and Organization (holding document in photo below) who signed the CPP Memberhip Agreement. The signing ceremony was part of the launching of ‘Den Haag Pride’, the LGBT Employee Network of the city, which is headed by Gert-Willem van Mourik and Marloes den Boer (to the left of Alderman in the photo). Alderman Baldewsingh also signed a ‘letter of intent’ to sign the CPP’s Declaration of Amsterdam, which was announced at the CPP 2011 International LGBT Business Conference.
Please join everyone at the CPP in welcoming the City of the Hague as our newest Member!

On Saturday the third of September the Company Pride Platform was present at the annual ‘Hague Pride’ event.
A major element of this annual event is the ‘pink market': a festival market ground with a wide collection of market stands. All aimed at informing the public on all sorts of LGBT related topics such as health, politics, education, culture and (of course): being openly LGBT at work.
A large group of CPP volunteers put together a colorful, well-stocked market stand and spent the entire (glorious) day sharing annual reports, flyers, Declarations of Amsterdam and gadgets with enthusiastic and inquisitive passers-by. It was a great success and a wonderful opportunity to share with a large and very diverse group the work the CPP does and to create support and understanding for the difference we aspire to achieve. If you didn’t make it this time around, try again next year. We fully expect to there again then!
